Great post from your (at least I hope so, o...Brava! Great post from your (at least I hope so, or at least one of them) favorite non-Hillary people!

As you know I am deeply grateful for your ardent yet civil support of Hillary... grateful because despite your strong feelings, you have not descended into the hateful pool of vitriol.

This was 9 minutes of video well spent BAC and I thank you for posting it.

Looking at this from a broad lens, I can say that I think we are both racist and sexist as a nation. It is, as the commentators said, to be openly sexist than racist.

That however does not mean that because people won't say the same things openly that one is truly worse than the other. I think they are equally bad.

Vitriol is not limited to liberal Obama supporting bloggers... I am greatly saddened by the hate I can find without looking too hard from Hillary supporters.

All of which will leave McCain laughing his way to 1600, with the likes of Bobby Jindal or Joe Lieberman in tow, God or whomever help us all.

I worry and wonder. I think of Nelson Mandela and the truth and reconciliation project. How will we heal as a party and then as a nation?

I worry that we are caught up in an endless cycle of who is on top beating down whomever is on bottom and it just keeps turning.

I worry that if I say I am not supporting Hillary I am in some way labeled a self-loathing woman. I worry that if someone does not support Obama they are labeled a racist.

I find it ironic given my mention of Nelson Mandela, that a nation that was under apartheid could have a black leader and we can't... or that we might not have a woman either.

Neither gender nor race matters to me frankly. I want a real leader.

Is that too much to ask?Franhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07181529277715646835noreply@blogger.com
