And the Golden Globe goes to ...

"Ugly Betty!" I was thrilled to see the comedy "Ugly Betty" and its star America Ferrera win Golden Globe awards tonight. The show is an inspiration for every young girl who doesn't wear a size zero. It is a real challenge trying to make America look ugly, and in the end what we discover is that Betty is beautiful inside and out.

Other award recipients include the talented Jennifer Hudson, for supporting actress, in "Dreamgirls," Meryl Streep, best actress in a musical or comedy, for "The Devil Wears Prada," and Helen Mirren, for best actress in a drama, for "The Queen."

These four actors demonstrate there is an audience for both young and older women in Hollywood.
