Don't agonize, organize ... that's my mantra. Change won't happen unless you work to make it happen! But sometimes even your best efforts don't provide the results you were looking for. Or sometimes a situation is just so completely outrageous that all you can do is say ... YIKES!
Cancel the lions. It looks like the Christians are eating each other.
LOL!!! That's the funniest line I've hear yet! Good one!
I heard that one of the progressive web sites, can't remember which one, is calling for all the Democrats in Michigan to mess with the GOP and vote for Mitt Romney. I guess in Michigan, it doesn't matter which party you are affiliated with, you can vote for anyone in the primary. The GOP is pushing for McCain and hate Romney so this will keep Romney in the race longer and he'll have to spend more money trashing McCain (who will implode) and Huckabee will start beating his Bible so loud it will scare the living bejeebus out of a majority of the GOPers who aren't Evangelicals.
Since the DNC pulled all the Democratic delegates from Michigan because they defied them and went ahead with earlier primary, we've got nothing to lose.
BAC, the two gasbags, Tony Perkins from Family Research and Pat Toomey from Club for Growth are not candidates.
Meanwhile, the only point they made was the obvious point that the Republican party nomination could go to one of possibly four candidates.
The Dems have narrowed their field to two candidates: a woman and a black. In other words, Dems are locked into the game of identity politics. Hillary will say anything to get elected and Obama will orate and say nothing. They let their images do the work.
I think the Republican nominating race puts four contenders in the ring. As the two gasbags noted, these four are different and the differences are easy to see. Unlike the Democratic pair who are mysteries to voters, no matter what the voters believe.
No matter how much the two gasbag quibblers quibble, in the end, the Republican voters will vote for the Republican nominee. Meanwhile, undecided voters will lean toward McCain or Rudy, the two most likely to win the nomination.

This is important to remember. Conservatives aren't all one big monolithic bloc (as the video shows). There are different groups and factions with different goals and priorities, and they are now increasingly in conflict with each other.
Almost every one of the Big Five Republican Presidential hopefuls is anathema to some major constituency within conservatism. That's why they're fighting each other.
It's up to us to exploit that, intelligently, to defeat them. I don't know enough about Michigan politics to know whether the plan Mary Ellen suggests would work, but this is the kind of thing we need to be thinking about.
Pundit -- The two "gasbags" represent millions of voters. You are fooling yourself if you think this doesn't matter.
And you say the Republican field is wide open because they have four candidates in the race? Yeah, two REALLY OLD white guys and two BABY BOOMER white guys. Two of which will appeal to evangelicals and two who will appeal to the corporate wing of the party. That is SOME wide open field you've got there! ha
The reason Dems are out pacing Republicans in voter turnout is because Republicans don't have ANYONE they can get excited about. They thought Rudy would be the guy, but his corruption has caught up with him. Then they thought Fred would be their man, but he's just boring -- and too lazy to get the job done.
There will be Republicans who hold their nose and vote, but not in the same numbers as will turn out for Democrats. Don't underestimate the power of making history.

Now this is something I can just sit back and laugh at.

This is breaking out all over the place. I've seen some pretty vitriolic arguments in the comment threads of some right-wing sites.
The only thing more entertaining than this will be watching all their heads explode a year from now when Clinton is sworn in.
Yes, the moment I saw this I knew I had to put it up. I must confess that I did it mostly for Pundit ... so where is Pundit? ha

Better yet Mary, have all the Democrats there vote for Ron Paul and really throw them all for a loop.

Mormons and muslims won't get nominated.
