It is refreshing to see a few bloggers who don't support Hillary Clinton speaking out about a double standard that has seemed apparent to me.* As we wait for the voting to begin in New Hampshire, here are a few posts liberal bloggers might want to read.
The Sexist Media Lynching of Hillary Clinton by Tom Watson
Feel the Misogyny by Jane Hamsher
Clinton's Sincerity Moment by Matt Stoller
Can Clinton's Emotions Get the Best of Her? by Enchidne
[*Note: At least I don't think they support Sen. Clinton.]

Hi BAC, as you know, I do not support Hillary.
That said, I was disgusted to watch Morning Joe yesterday and to see how Mika and Scarborough tore her up so unfairly. I wrote about it here.
It is VERY wrong. Like or dislike but have it be for an appropriate reason and do not hang her from the highest tree.
You’ve got a point there. I watched the “video” and I didn’t think she did anything wrong at all.
Hi, BAC. There was indeed a gleefulish media pile on. Though I am a lowly critter in the food chain, my posts were part of the problem.
Yikes!
Rachel Maddow did a riff on this yesterday. She said she hates Clinton but seeing the episode made her sympathetic to her.
i am not a clinton supporter- not because she is a woman but because of her stand on the issues. that said- the right wing is hitting her with everything they have- including this gem from limbaugh's show. caller- southern woman- calls in and tells the host (limbaugh is apparently busy picking up his 'man of the year award' for racism) that hill set feminism back 20 years by her blubbering on camera. now, i wear glasses- little declaration there- but i didn't see her crying anywhere and i certainly didn't feel that the demeaning chant of iron my laundry or whatever was necessary. women need to stand up and support her in this- whether we vote for her or not.
Betmo - I agree. The "iron my shirts" signs today were over the top! Gloria Steinam has a great editorial in The New York Times that I have linked to above. Regardless of who you support, if you are a liberal/progressive you should be speaking out about this.
OP - If we were watching the same report Maddow didn't say that she "hates" Clinton, she simply said that she doesn't support her but felt, given the onslaught of attacks, a need to speak out in her defense.
DCup, Swinebread, Fran - This kind of sexism must not be tolerated, and it's important for individuals who DON'T support Clinton to speak out as well.
I will possible cut him a break at the moment, but if Obama is truly the candidate of "change" he will say something about this as well. Otherwise, as far as I'm concerned his call for change rings hollow.

BAC, here is another Dem blogger who is also a woman and is not a Hillary supporter, but has written passionately on her behalf...
Click here and tell MaryEllen that Fran sent you!
I think Hillary's "moment" played in her favor as it turned out! I think one of the big problems people have had with her is the perception she's all about power and calculation and this incident may have changed some minds.
Fran - thanks for the link. I just left a long comment.
Mauigirl - I think you are right.
