What American accent do you have? Your Result: North Central "North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot. | |

I'm actually not sure I agree with this result. I don't think I sound like I'm from Minnesota, though I want to be clear that I have nothing against the state. And there is actually someone there I have a little crush on ... but that's another post. So who do you sound like?

That was fun! I'm Inland North, just as I thought...that Chicago accent that I just hate! Of course, I was born and raised in Chicago so what else could I expect.
I've always been jealous of those women who have that pretty sing-song voice. I'm not only stuck with the Chicago accent, but my voice is deep, not light and pretty. Ugh...
I like the southern accents and the Boston accents.
