Wall Street $700 Billion - Taxpayers $0

Breaking: Senate Passes Rescue Bailout Bill

By a vote of 74-25, the Senate just approved the revised version of the $700 billion Wall Street rescue bailout bill rejected Monday by the House.

The bill now heads to the House for a vote, likely on Friday. Some of the revisions included in the Senate bill were designed to win the support of House Republicans who voted against the first bill.

Tomorrow should be wild.

The talking heads are split. Obama thinks that the fact the bill was defeated and passage was delayed will make for a better bill.

There are some who say the more levels of revision a bill undergoes, the more earmarks and pork go into it before time for a vote.

Like you, I'm not thrilled by this, but knew its passage would be an inevitability.
