I'm late getting this up, but what the heck ... I'll blame it on the flu bug I've been fighting for a month now. It might also account for my slightly melancholy mood.
There is a line in here that really touched my heart. My mother died in 1975, when I was 21 years old. It seems hard to believe she has been gone that long ... so when I hear someone around my age talk about their mother it makes me wish I still had mine here with me.
I've always been a feminist and what put the struggle for women's rights into perspective for me was the knowledge that when my mother was born women didn't have the right to vote.
Tuesday night, when Hillary was thanking her mother she said: "I want to thank all my friends and family, particularly my mother ... who was born before women could vote, and is watching her daughter on this stage tonight."
It was an amazing moment, and I'm sure the reason why so many feminist women my age are supporting Hillary.

Thanks for putting up that speech, BAC. I feel like I'm really in the minority on the blogs because I've chosen Hillary over Obama. At least when I come over here, I don't feel so out of place.
I think that was one of Hillary's best speeches, it was just amazing and gracious.
Here ya go, BAC....some good news.
BREAKING.....
IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS...
Clinton had a MASSIVE day of online fundraising blowing past the $3 million dollar - 3 day goal.
There's an email appeal going out tomorrow for $6 million in 72 hours.
THOUSANDS of NEW donors flooding in.
Clinton keeping pace with Obama and MoveOn.
Hillary's loan to be paid back by supporters in 48 hours after Super Tuesday.
Wow, that is exciting. Looks like my $100 helped! I have this little giving strategy going. On a night where she wins, I send her $50, and if she loses I send her $100. And I always send at least $50 after a debate -- unless the media guys are beating up on her and then I send more.
And, if you haven't checked out Taylor Marsh, be sure to go there as well. She's on my blogroll.

BAC- I have found Taylor Marsh just yesterday, thanks!
Hope your flu bug is clearing up...I had it after Christmas and it was a bear to get rid of.
I'm finally, with the help of drugs from my doctor, feeling better. Thanks.
